About Us
At Back To Normal, we believe that pain is not normal, so our treatment intervention focuses on resolving the issues identified on the initial evaluation. Our goal is to get to the source of the issue as opposed to treating the pain itself.
During this initial session we evaluate for mechanical issues that we can address with manual therapy treatment techniques. Mechanical issues often found are loss of joint range of motion at a segmental level, muscle imbalance due to soft tissue tightness or weakness, abnormal sequencing of functional movement patterns, unhealthy postural habits all leading to dysfunction and pain in the body.

To address these issues, our treatment techniques are predominantly manual therapy based, which means a hands-on approach involving one-on-one time with a therapist for a 30-minute session. Exercises will be introduced during your sessions to help improve and control range of movement and to be continued by you as your home exercise program. Remember, we cannot help balance the body with two 30-minutes sessions a week unless you are doing your part at home. Your habits will help or hinder your progress.

Typically, we address the neurological as well as the musculoskeletal system and the conditions we commonly treat vary from acute to chronic pain, headaches, TMJ, neck pain, back pain, joint pain, ANY PAIN! Neurological conditions include stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and head injury. Other diagnoses include, but are not limited to, post-surgical patients, postural evaluation, biomechanics, functional decline, frequent falls, stress and anxiety management.

Brenda Whitney
I was hired by Back To Normal in March of 2008. I worked at TGMC in ICU as a monitor tech for 12 years prior to coming to work at Back To Normal. I was hired as front office help and have worked my way up to administrative assistant. I have worked here for the past 12 years. One of the the things that I like about my job is meeting and getting to know the patients. i have learned a lot since starting here and I am looking forward to continuing working and learning.
